Her story is a powerful testament to faith, resilience, and community support after she nearly missed the exams.
An overjoyed Purity told that the milestone was a culmination of hard work and a challenging personal journey that saw her fighting not just for academic success, but for her life.
In the emotional update, the nursing student expressed gratitude to those who offered support and made it possible for her to sit for the exam in a more stable condition.
“I am deeply grateful for your timely support and interventions. I truly owe you a debt of gratitude," she shared joyfully.
Purity’s battle with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), a chronic autoimmune disease, began in January 2021.
The condition, known for its unpredictable flare-ups and debilitating symptoms, took a serious toll on her body and spirit, especially as she approached her final licensing exam in May.
At her lowest point, she lacked access to the essentials needed for her treatment: vital medicine, nutritional supplements.
She was also unable to afford even the specific diet required to manage her condition.
With her outpatient insurance cover exhausted and her family and friends financially drained, Purity made an emotional public appeal for help.
Her story quickly gained attention, and a wave of kindness followed.
Miriti Trust stepped in with a generous KSh 30,000 donation, helping her afford medicine and stabilise her health just in time for her NCK exams.
The support not only alleviated her physical burden but also renewed her emotional strength.
Now, having officially passed, she can finally begin the next chapter of her life as a registered nurse, a dream she held onto even in the face of extreme adversity.

Her message to supporters is one of heartfelt appreciation.
“May your cup overflow with every good thing this life has to offer,” she added, sending her love and prayers to all who lifted her through this difficult season.
Purity’s story is a living testimony to the strength of the human spirit and the difference that collective kindness can make.
Her journey has inspired many, particularly young people living with chronic illnesses, to never give up on their dreams, even when the odds seem stacked against them.
As she looks to the future, Purity hopes to use her experience to advocate for patients with autoimmune diseases and raise awareness around the unique challenges they face.
She also dreams of one day supporting others, just as she was supported in her time of need.
Her success is not just personal; it’s a shared victory for every individual who stood by her, donated, prayed, or simply shared her story.
It’s proof that miracles happen when humanity comes together in love and purpose.
