Mark Ayamga, a hopeful for the position of Upper East Regional Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called on party members and Ghanaians to rally behind Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, describing him as a “divinely appointed leader” destined to transform Ghana.

In a passionate statement titled “Dr. Bawumia, Made Perfect in the Hands of Allah,” Ayamga, popularly known as “Biawaam”, highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s exceptional leadership, intellectual prowess, and dedication to national development.

A Leader of Substance and Vision

Ayamga chronicled Dr. Bawumia’s illustrious career, from his academic excellence to his impactful tenure as Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana. He praised the former Vice President for revolutionizing Ghana’s political discourse by prioritizing ideas over insults and vision over divisiveness.

“His appearance as the key witness in the 2012 election petition changed Ghanaian politics forever,” Ayamga stated. “He demonstrated that electoral disputes could be resolved with intellect and dignity, not violence.”

“A Unifying Force for Ghana”

The NPP stalwart expressed concern over what he described as “unnecessary competition, tribalism, and self-centered ambitions” within the political landscape. He urged Ghanaians to put the nation’s interest above personal gains and support Dr. Bawumia’s leadership.

“Why can’t we rally behind this God-gifted brother to lead our nation forward?” Ayamga questioned. “History has shown that when a nation ignores its destined leaders, it takes generations to recover from that mistake.”

A Call to Action

Ayamga, who is vying for the NPP’s Upper East Regional Organizer position, emphasized that Ghana stands at a critical juncture and needs a leader like Dr. Bawumia to steer its progress.

“In Bawumia, we have a prepared, capable, and visionary leader,” he asserted. “If we let this opportunity slip away, future generations may not forgive us.”

The statement has sparked discussions among NPP members and political analysts, with many commending Ayamga’s bold stance while others debate the implications for internal party dynamics.

As the NPP prepares for its regional elections, Ayamga’s message underscores a growing sentiment among some party faithful who see Dr. Bawumia as the best candidate to lead Ghana into a new era of prosperity.

*Dr. Bawumia,*

*Made Perfect in the Hands of Allah.*

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is a man made perfect in the hands of Allah.

We have heard, read, and witnessed how brilliant he was during his school days. Naturally, brilliant students are loved and admired by both peers and teachers, and he was no different.

From the very beginning of his working life, he gave his all, not to show off his brilliance, but to support others with innovative ideas, always in humility.

During his years working overseas, he was known for his hard work, diligence, and dedication. He excelled in whatever he put his hands to.

His time as Deputy Governor at the Bank of Ghana remains a golden chapter in the institution’s history, one that will be celebrated for generations.

When he entered politics, he brought with him a new kind of energy, an era of politics grounded in ideas, not insults; in vision, not noise.

His appearance as the key witness in the 2012 election petition changed the face of Ghanaian politics. It marked a turning point not only for our nation but for Africa, and perhaps the world, showing how electoral disputes could be addressed with intellect and dignity, not with guns and machetes.

No one can deny his instrumental role in the NPP’s victories in both the 2016 and 2020 general elections.

Whenever he speaks, even though our partisan politics makes it difficult for some to acknowledge the truth, time always proves him right. His words are not mere talk, they manifest into reality.

In the recent 2024 elections, the energy and vision he brought to both the party and the nation were undeniable. Any honest citizen, regardless of political affiliation, would recognize the blessing he is to this country

So I ask:

Why all this unnecessary competition in the name of democracy?

Why the tribalism, the regionalism, and the self-centered ambitions?

Why not rally behind this God-gifted brother to lead our nation forward?

Why can’t we put the nation above our personal interests and ambitions?

It is believed that in the life of every nation, there are divinely appointed times and people destined to make it great. And if the people of that time fail to recognize and embrace such blessings, it can take a very long time for such grace to return.

I believe this is such a time in the life of our beloved nation, Ghana. And Dr. Bawumia is that blessing.

We must not let this opportunity slip through our hands.

It is time we moved beyond partisan and personal quests for greatness and chose what is right for our country.

In Bawumia, we have a leader who is prepared, capable, and ready to help fix our beloved nation.

And the generations after us may not forgive us if we fail to act and let this grace pass us by.
