JOHANNESBURG - The National Prosecuting Authority says it will submit another application to have the Gupta brothers extradited to South Africa. 

The authority says the UAE has still not explained why the a previous extradition attempt failed. 

Last year in November, an attempt to the infamous brother's back in SA ended in a failure. One of the reasons was issues with jurisdiction. 

And also Emirates had indicated that it intends charging the Guptas and therefore an extradition was not going to be easy. 

The prosecuting authority appeared before the Justice and Constitutional Development, Portfolio Committee on Wednesday.

The Guptas are accused of manipulating processes at state-owned enterprises during Jacob Zuma's presidency.
