NIMA celebrates 10th anniversary with new executive team and vision for the future

The Network of Indian MICE Agents (NIMA) celebrated its 10th anniversary with a grand event on 7th February 2025. The milestone occasion also saw the announcement of a new Executive Team, led by Dr. Nitin Mittal as National Coordinator and Gajesh Girdhar as Chairman of the Governing Council. NIMA remains committed to inclusivity, innovation, and strengthening India’s MICE sector.

The Network of Indian MICE Agents (NIMA) marked its 10th anniversary with a spectacular event, celebrating a decade of excellence and growth. During this milestone celebration, NIMA also unveiled its reconstituted Executive Team, highlighting key leadership appointments.

Dr. Nitin Mittal of Hotel N Apartment, Bengaluru, was appointed as the National Coordinator, while Gajesh Girdhar of Paryatan, Muzaffarnagar, will serve as the Chairman of the Governing Council. The newly formed NIMA 2.0 team, led by Dr. Mittal, enjoys the continued support of the association’s patron, Dr. Subhash Goyal (STIC Group), mentor SanJeet of DDPL Publications, advisor Vikas Khanduri of Holiday Merchants, and Chairman Gajesh Girdhar.

The new Executive Team represents a diverse group of leaders from across India, including members from Tier 3 cities like Ghaziabad, Yamuna Nagar, Sahibabad, and Akola, alongside representatives from Metros and Tier 2 cities. This inclusion reinforces NIMA’s core values of equality and broad representation. The association’s motto, “Our Members, Our Pride”, reflects its continued focus on strengthening partnerships between members and an expanding network of suppliers.

Dr. Nitin Mittal, the newly appointed National Coordinator, shared, “Technology will play a key role as an enabler, and at NIMA, we are committed to bringing futuristic tools that will empower our members to compete globally in the MICE industry.”

While maintaining its strict membership standards, NIMA is focused on expanding its influence across the country and enhancing its national presence. The association also aims to support educational initiatives in the Tourism sector, partnering with educational institutions to bring practical knowledge and real-world experiences to students, particularly in the MICE industry.

The anniversary event was a vibrant celebration, featuring networking opportunities and entertainment, including a performance by the Border Security Force band, making its debut at a travel association event. The event was attended by members from across the country, along with distinguished guests from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, the Singapore Tourism Board, the Ras Al-Khaimah Tourism Board, Egypt Air, and National and International media professionals.

As NIMA moves forward, the association remains dedicated to uplifting the Indian MICE industry, fostering partnerships, and empowering its members to thrive in an increasingly competitive global market.
