The quest for the next music sensation took a dramatic turn with a cinematic-themed live show that was pure entertainment at the ongoing music reality show, Nigerian Idol Season 10, Episode 7’s ‘Movie Magic’ themed night.
The top nine contestants brought the house down with iconic movie soundtracks, while golden trophies flew in a surprising twist, as Purp stole the show. Host, IK Osakioduwa with his infectious energy lit up the stage as the night unfolded with emotional performances, surprise moments, and show-stopping vocals, making for a bittersweet yet unforgettable experience.
Before the glitzy night commenced, IK introduced the judges for the evening: Ric Hassani, Iyanya, and the puzzling DJ Sose, making his first live appearance this season. Sose’s bold face tattoo and composed attitude brought a new energy to the panel.
IK also took a moment to compliment the judges’ sleek outfits before reminding viewers that “tonight would mark the exit of one contestant.”
After nail-biting wait, Sally became the first contestant to be eliminated from the Top 10. Notwithstanding the disappointment, her elegance never wavered. In a heartfelt farewell, she delivered a stunning performance of Jazmine Sullivan’s In Love with Another Man, captivating the audience and showcasing her artistry one last time.
IK praised her show-stopping performance and reminded viewers that evictions would continue weekly, encouraging them to vote for their preferred contestants.
