Shoppers at Next have been praising a pair of denim shorts that they've recently purchased online, labelling them as "perfect." The Mid Blue Denim Boy Shorts, available at £24, have quickly become a highly sought-after item among Next's customers.

The shorts, designed with a boyish look and available in four colours - mid blue, black, ecru, and bleach denim - feature a longer inseam and stylish turn-up hem. According to Next, the shorts offer a "looser fit than usual" and are machine-washable. They come in sizes six to 22, in regular or petite.

For those looking for alternatives, other retailers are offering similarly stylish denim shorts. M&S sells the Denim Mom High Waisted Shorts for £25, while New Look offers the Light Blue A-Line Denim Shorts at a discounted price of £20.99 (previously £27.99). ASOS is also selling an A-line short in lightwash blue for £21, reduced from £26.

The full Next description reads: "Your classic, everyday denim shorts. They are mid-rise, designed to sit on your belly button and made from comfort stretch denim, which means they maintain an authentic denim look whilst having a small amount of stretch to allow for a more comfortable ready-to-wear short. They are finished with a turn-up hem, which can be rolled up or down," reports the Daily Record.

The shorts racked up reviews online, with a rating of 4.5 stars. One reviewer said: "Good quality material, perfect fit. True to size."

Another buyer, returning for a repeat purchase, wrote: "Lovely denim shorts, perfect fit. I buy these every year."

A third shopper said: "Fit was great, look lovely on" while another added: "Lovely length if you're still wanting to show a bit of leg but not too much. I wore these all the time on holiday. Really great summer staple for your wardrobe!"

However, some shoppers did have issues with the shorts once they arrived. One wrote: "I returned the item, didn't like the colour when they arrived."

Another customer said: "Not my preference compared to the same ones I've bought over the years, they are much shorter and feel really cheap."

Nevertheless, shoppers continued to acclaim the shorts, with one writing: "The shorts are a really good fit. The sizing is a little generous so you may need to size down if you have a slim build. They are high waisted and very comfortable to wear."

A second wrote: "These shorts are really comfortable. They fit perfectly and look really good. The material is of good quality."

Another review read: "Love these shorts, they are really comfortable, the denim is nice and soft, and they look great!"

An additional shopper said: "I bought these for a recent holiday and they were perfect. A good fit and great style." Meanwhile, another stated: "This are perfect for summer, not too short and a lovely fit."

A different shopper added: "I ordered these for a friend who's had them before. She loves them. They are comfy and very flattering. She said the sizing was spot on."
