New Photo of Caitlin Clark From Angel Reese Incident Goes Viral
Caitlin Clark had a historic game for the Indiana Fever in their 93-58 blowout of Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky on Saturday.
The 23-year-old playmaker recorded a triple-double of 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, all while shooting 46.2 percent from the field. She also played well defensively, finishing with two steals and four blocks.
As a result of her performance, Clark not only tied Candace Parker for the third-most triple-doubles in WNBA history with three, but she also became the fastest player to reach the mark.
Clark needed only 41 games to have three triple-doubles, having recorded two in her rookie season.
The WNBA All-Star's performance, however, was not the only hot topic from the game. Her heated exchange with Reese also caught attention and sparked controversy.
Late in the third quarter of the game, Clark fouled Reese hard in order to stop the Sky star from scoring. Clark's hit caused Reese to fall to the floor, which the latter took issue with as she attempted to confront the Fever guard after the incident.
Clark was called for a flagrant foul, while Reese and Aliyah Boston received technical fouls for a "verbal technical" and "physical taunt," respectively.
Aside from videos of the exchange, though, a photo from the moment also went viral. Bleacher Report shared a snap of Clark walking away as Reese tried to approach her following the foul, sparking a wave of reactions.
The photo has even been viewed over 1.1 million times, as of writing.

For what it's worth, Clark downplayed her foul on Reese and claimed it was a common take foul, adding that she doesn't understand why it was upgraded to a flagrant.
As for Reese, she expressed her belief that the referees got it right by upgrading it to a flagrant foul. She also said that she's ready to move on from it.
Regardless, though, what happened in the Fever-Sky game will surely be a hot topic until the two teams meet again. Indiana and Chicago's second meeting this 2025 season is set for June 7.
