NDLEA intercepts cocaine in lipsticks, arrests drug kingpin, family syndicate in Lagos
Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have intercepted cocaine consignments concealed in lipsticks and property title documents bound for the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia.
The illicit drugs were recovered on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at a courier company in Lagos by officers from the Directorate of Operations and General Investigation attached to the logistics firm. A total of 420 grammes of cocaine was factory-fitted into 84 pieces of lipsticks headed for the UK, while another 280 grammes of the same drug were discovered hidden in a Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) en route to Saudi Arabia.
In a separate operation, the agency arrested a notorious drug kingpin, Ajetsibo Emami, popularly known as ‘Warri Kinsman’, in Ikeja, Lagos, on Saturday, June 28. His arrest followed the dismantling of his drug trafficking network in a three-day raid that led to the arrest of three other suspects.
Recovered from the syndicate were 24 jumbo bags containing 681 pouches of Canadian Loud, a potent strain of cannabis, weighing 414.2 kilogrammes. The bust was a result of credible intelligence regarding Emami’s plan to transport the drugs to Lekki for onward distribution across Lagos and other parts of the country.
In another development, NDLEA has taken into custody a businessman, Ajah Johnson Uchenna, his wife, Rosemary Uchenna, and their daughters, Stella and Ngozi.
