NDC Youth Wing congratulates Opare Addo on his nomination as Ghana's first Minister of Youth Development - MyJoyOnline
The Youth Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has congratulated Lawyer George Opare Addo on his nomination as Ghana’s first Minister of Youth Development and Empowerment, pending parliamentary approval.
In a statement signed by Okai Mintah, Chairman of the National Youth Working Committee, the Youth Wing expressed profound gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for fulfilling his promise to create a dedicated ministry focused on empowering young Ghanaians.
“This appointment is a testament to his extensive years of dedicated youth activism and his unwavering commitment to youth development and advancement within the National Democratic Congress and our nation as a whole", it explained.
The NDC Youth Wing further praised the President’s ongoing efforts to establish a youthful cabinet, describing it as a significant milestone in Ghana’s history.
"We extend our profound gratitude to His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama for this historic appointment, which rewards hard work and loyalty. This nomination is a direct fulfilment of President Mahama’s commitment to creating a dedicated ministry focused on empowering our youth and transforming their aspirations into groundbreaking successes".
"We also commend Mr. President for his determination to establish the most youthful cabinet our nation has ever seen. His appointments thus far clearly indicate that we are on track to achieving a cabinet infused with youthful energy – a significant milestone for Ghana", the statement added.
"Our sincere appreciation goes to the party leadership and all allied stakeholders for their unwavering support and endorsement", it mentioned.
It expressed confidence that Lawyer Opare Addo will excel in his mandate and implement a robust framework for youth advancement and empowerment in Ghana.
