The celebrated musician, who also serves as a police officer, has been out of the country for several months, leaving fans eager for his return.

Samidoh recently gave an update on his ongoing US tour, sharing posters for upcoming performances in Boston and Texas.

However, it was not the shows that caught fans’ attention; it was a cheeky question from a follower that sparked speculation.

“Kwani hautumiss ukuje?” the fan asked, wondering whether the singer misses home at all.

In typical Samidoh fashion, he kept it simple:

“Nakuja very soon.”

The singer's extended stay abroad has fuelled curiosity, especially given his recent run-ins with political power players and senior figures in the police service.

Trouble began when Samidoh was spotted at Deputy President Kithure Kindiki’s residence, mingling with other Kikuyu musicians.

The move sparked backlash, especially from former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua, who called for a boycott of the artistes seen at the event.

Shortly after, Samidoh was seen performing at a local club where he allegedly joined in on anti-government chants and praised Gachagua in a song.

This only deepened his troubles, and it was not long before he was transferred to the Anti-Stock Theft Unit in Gilgil, a move many interpreted as disciplinary action for defying the police code of political neutrality.

Samidoh then failed to report to his new station, and it emerged that he had already left the country.

The police later declared him a deserter and issued a warrant for his arrest.

Leaked documents online revealed that he was indeed on leave.

Since then, Samidoh has only made brief appearances in Kenya, staying for just a few hours before jetting back to the US.

His prolonged absence prompted both fans and critics, including Gachagua, to suggest he should stay abroad and formally resign from the police service.

However, with the political heat cooling down and his music career still thriving, the Mugithi star appears to be weighing his return.

In another related story, Samidoh's wife, Edday Nderitu, warmed hearts after posting a video of herself attending one of his shows in the US.

In a clip she reshared from an Instagram story, she could be seen enjoying the performance alongside her friends, dancing enthusiastically to his Mugithi hits in Boston.

Samidoh was captured on stage, strumming his guitar as the crowd revelled in the moment.
