Detectives have launched an investigation into a troubling incident involving the death of a police officer whose body was discovered in a ditch near the perimeter fence of Lucky Summer Police Station in Nairobi.

The deceased has been identified as Constable Benjamin Bore, who was attached to the Kariobangi North Police Station.
His lifeless body was found lodged in a drainage culvert, with the head positioned in an unusual manner, raising concerns about the circumstances surrounding his death.
According to reports, Constable Bore was residing within the police housing quarters at Lucky Summer. His body was discovered on Sunday June 29 evening by a neighbour who raised the alarm after spotting it in the ditch.
Although police officers who responded to the scene confirmed that there were no obvious physical injuries on the body, they noted that blood appeared to be seeping from the officer’s mouth.
The exact cause of death has not yet been determined, and authorities are waiting for a post-mortem examination to shed more light on the matter.
A team of officers visited the scene where the body was found, as part of efforts to gather evidence and establish what may have led to the officer’s death.
