My wife sent nudes to other men, gospel singer Paul Nwokocha alleges
Gospel singer Paul Nwokocha has confirmed the end of his second marriage to Goodness, citing allegations of misconduct as the reason for their separation.
Nwokocha known for his ‘Nkwa Praise’ hit, revealed the reasons behind his decision in a candid video shared on his Facebook and on Sunday.
The news has shocked both fans and critics, particularly as Nwokocha, a respected figure in gospel music with over 66 albums and a 40-year career had only married Goodness in September 2023 — just a month after his first marriage to Alice ended.
Recall that in 2023, the singer who has always been outspoken about his personal life, explained the reasons for his first marriage’s breakdown, which had lasted two decades.
He shared that he wed Goodness because “the Holy Bible said ‘Paul Nwokocha’ should not be alone.”
The singer emphasised his belief that marriage should be about joy, not endurance, stating, “Marriage is not for better or worse but for better or better; I didn’t marry to endure but to enjoy.”
Nwokocha added that his first wife, Alice, stopped providing basic care for him, including food, despite him providing monthly financial support for the household. “I was living as an outcast in my home,” he explained.
In a viral video addressing the public, Nwokocha was forthright about his second failed marriage, citing serious allegations. “Greetings to you all, all my friends and well-wishers.
“Thank you so much. My name still remains Paul Nwokocha, a minister of the gospel,” he began, before addressing speculation about his personal life on social media.
“If I marry today, I find out that the wife I married is doing abominable things before God and man, I will send you out of my house,” he declared.
He further elaborated, “Hear me again: If I marry today and I find out that the wife I married is doing abominable things before God and man, I will send you out of my house without any apology. You that is talking and showing pity on her, how will you feel if the woman you call your wife is taking nude photos and videos and sending them to men? How would you feel if you found such a thing? How will you feel? I need your comments.”
Nwokocha also made it clear that his intentions were rooted in moral standards, saying, “I married a wife, not a whore. So, I owe nobody an apology for this; stop calling me names. Not even minding how long I married you, if I find you are doing evil before God, you are going out of my house.”
His sestranged wife, Goodness, who has no known social media presence, has yet to respond to the allegations.
