From another perspective, equity-oriented schemes derive 88 percent of their assets from individual investors, including both retail and high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), maintaining the same allocation as the previous year. Institutional investors, conversely, dominate liquid and money market schemes (89 percent) and debt-oriented schemes and ETFs, FOFs (87 percent).
Analyzing category-wise allocation, equity-oriented schemes now constitute 59.2 percent of the industry's assets in March 2025, up from 57.8 percent in March 2024.
