United States President, Donald Trump, has reignited his feud with his former political ally, Elon Musk.
Musk had until May spearheaded the Department Of Government Efficiency (DOGE) which focused on slashing fraud and waste in the country’s government spending.
However, his relationship with Trump, went sour shortly after he exited the administration
The clashes between the duo had subsided until Monday when Musk restarted the face-off with a post on X that said those who campaigned on cutting spending but backed the president’s bill “should hang their heads in shame.”
The world’s richest man also threatened that if the bill is passed, he will form the America Party the next day.
In his response, Trump threatened to unleash DOGE on the Tesla CEO.
“Elon may get more subsidy than any human being in history, by far, and without subsidies, Elon would probably have to close up shop and head back home to South Africa.
“No more Rocket launches, Satellites, or Electric Car Production, and our Country would save a FORTUNE.
“Perhaps we should have DOGE take a good, hard, look at this? BIG MONEY TO BE SAVED!,” he wrote in a post on Truth Social on Monday night.
