In May 2025, Save the Children, in collaboration with Cooperation Internationale (COOPI), Almanar, CARE and United Peace Organisation (UPO), successfully conducted a Multi-Sectoral Rapid Needs Assessment across three localities in Khartoum State—Bahari (Wad Ramli and Tamim Alahamda), Sharg Elnail (Alwadi Alakhdar and Wad dafiaa –Alhaj Yousif), and Jabal Aulia Locality– (Mayo, Aldkhinat, and Alkalkla– Alrashed)—covering multiple communities. A total of 747 individuals were engaged in the rapid needs assessment through Key Informant Interviews (KII) and Focus Group Discussions (FGD). , This initiative aimed to collect critical data on needs across multiple sectors—including Health, Nutrition, Protection, Shelter and Non-Food Items (NFIs) Food Security and Livelihoods (FSL), and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)—to inform humanitarian response planning in high-need areas following recent changes in humanitarian access and developments after the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) regained full control of the state.
