Miss Congeniality never goes out of style.
Heather Burns, who starred as Cheryl Frasier in 2000's Miss Congeniality and its 2005 sequel, told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview that she would be open to starring in a third film.
"Oh God, I would love it. That was one of the best experiences of my life," Burns said at the premiere of The Best You Can at the 2025 Tribeca Festival in New York City.
"It was so much fun making both of those films. I'm actually here with one of the other actresses. We have been friends since the first one. Melissa De Sousa, she played Miss New York, she's my date tonight, which is wonderful," continued the star.
"I made lifelong friends working with Sandra Bullock," Burns added. "It's just a dream. So yes, a third [movie], I would jump at it. It would be so much fun."

Burns also starred with Bullock, star of Miss Congeniality, in the 2002 romantic comedy Two Weeks Notice.
She told PEOPLE she and the mother of two "loosely" stayed in touch over the years. "I definitely sent her a congratulations when she won her Oscar, so that was probably the last time we had close contact," Burns recalled, referring to when Bullock, 60, won Best Actress for The Blind Side in 2010.
Burns, whose character is Miss Rhode Island in the first movie, tends to go viral every spring for her iconic movie line.
When asked to describe her perfect date, Burn's Frasier answers, "That's a tough one. I'd have to say April 25. Because it's not too hot, not too cold. All you need is a light jacket."
Burns spoke to PEOPLE in 2021 about the popular line, saying, “I'm very grateful for the day, because it gives me a chance to connect with fans of the film and old friends. I love having been a part of something that has been meaningful for so long to so many people.”

Burn's new project, The Best You Can, stars Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick as "two halves of an unlikely friendship between a security guard and a urologist whose chance encounter blooms into something deeper."
As for what drew her to her latest role, Burns said, "I loved the script, first and foremost. I love these kinds of films. I guess I would call it a dramedy. It was beautiful. I was moved by it. The sense of loss and love really drew me to it."
The actress added that the all-star cast — which also includes Judd Hirsch and Brittany O'Grady — was also a major appeal.
"I just thought it would be amazing to get to work with Kyra, and I've worshiped Judd Hirsch my whole life. I grew up watching Taxi. And Kevin Bacon as well. So I just was thrilled to be a part of it," she said.
