Listen up, everyone! Allergic Living contributor Megan Lavin is here to make our lives easier. She’s sharing her top kitchen gadgets for cooking and baking with food allergies.

If anyone would know their kitchen gadgets, it’s Megan. Many of you know her from her aptly titled recipe website Allergy Awesomeness. “Awesome” is exactly the word for Megan, her recipes and her kitchen prowess.

Surprisingly, as she told our readers a few years ago, in college, she barely knew how to cook. Megan is largely a self-taught kitchen whiz and recipe developer. This was part out of interest and a large part out of necessity after her first son developed multiple food allergies.

In this instalment of her Megan’s Minute video series, she notes that if you or your child has been diagnosed with food allergies, you’ll likely need to do a lot more of your own cooking and baking.

So the kitchen gadgets she shares are those that will help make cooking easier and “much more enjoyable.”

The items on Megan’s top gadgets list include: her favorite cookie scoop, a meat thermometer, her best muffin pan and a superior cookie sheet. She also heads to her workhorse appliances like her blender, food processor and mixer.
