Mega Scott McTominay transfer approach thrown out by Napoli as Italian champions make stance clear
Napoli have reportedly thrown out a transfer approach from Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal for star man Scott McTominay.
Scotland hero McTominay, 28, savoured an incredible debut season in Italy after arriving in a £25million switch from Manchester United last summer.
The midfielder played a key role in leading Antonio Conte's side to Serie A glory, netting 12 goals and providing six assists across 34 league games.
His explosive form saw him crowned the Italian top-flight's best player of the 2024-25 season.
And according to Football Italia, that led to interest from mega-rich Saudis Al-Hilal.
It's said that Al-Hilal - now managed by ex-Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi - sounded out Napoli about a summer swoop for McTominay.
But the Italian champions didn’t even listen to a formal proposal as the note of interest was quickly binned.
Napoli have no interest in selling McTominay this summer, and equally, the Tartan Army hero is keen to remain at the Stadio Maradona.
