Chamber Music Society closes out its annual concert series at The Purchase PAC with a delightful program of string trios and sextets by Bach, Haydn, Schubert, Strauss, and Tchaikovsky.
After beginning with Bach, who used six voices to compose his fugue-on-demand for Frederick the Great, the group splits for Classical and Romantic string trios, before re-combining in Strauss’s Sextet from Capriccio and Tchaikovsky’s blockbuster "Souvenir de Florence."
