Fashion designer and former child star Mary-Kate Olsen is apparently summering in the Hamptons, and she's doing so in the most low-key attire possible: sweatpants. Spotted during an extremely rare public outing at a farm on the island on Sunday, June 29, the 39-year-old wore a white baseball cap, a white graphic tee, black sweatpants, and black sunnies. As for footwear, she opted for this season's most popular shoe: the flip-flop.

Along with her twin sister Ashley, Mary-Kate has religiously avoided the spotlight since leaving Hollywood over a decade ago. The duo have since founded The Row, the New York-based label that is now synonymous with quiet luxury.

“We didn’t want to be in front of it, we didn’t necessarily even want to let people know it was us,” Ashley told i-D of the brand. “It was really about the product, to the point where we were like: Who could we get to front this so that we don’t have to?”

Since establishing The Row in 2006, the Olsen twins have repeatedly won CFDA awards for Womenswear Designer of the Year and Accessories Designer of the Year. They now have brick and mortar locations in New York City, Los Angeles, Paris, London, and Amagansett.

As for their personal lives? Mary-Kate was married to French banker Olivier Sarkozy from 2015 to 2021, and has not debuted any new relationships since their divorce. Ashley, meanwhile, tied the knot with Louis Eisner in 2022 and welcomed a son, Otto, in 2023. The mother-of-one kept her pregnancy a secret and has never disclosed her baby's birthdate.
