Man City star Jack Grealish reacts to 'annoying' Harry Kane update

, before being ruled out of his side’s 3-1 loss to Real Madrid on Wednesday night (19 February).

Grealish looked dangerous in the first leg against Real Madrid, before being forced off with an injury after half-an-hour.

Man City struggled without Grealish and opted to use Omar Marmoush in his position, but succumbed to a superb Kylian Mbappe, as the Frenchman scored a hattrick to send the English champions out of the Champions League.

However, there is some good news for fans of the Citizens, after Grealish shared images of himself in training, as he looks to return from his layoff.

Kane was forced off at half-time, and was replaced by Arsenal January transfer target Kingsley Coman, in a 1-1 draw with Celtic.

Having scored in the 2-1 first-leg victory, the former Spurs striker struggled against a stout Hoops defence, unwilling to let the England captain score at will like he usually does.

In fact, had it not been for a controversial refereeing decision after Dayot Upamecano caught Daizen Maeda, Bayern Munich likely would have been eliminated by the Scottish champions.

However, it wasn’t to be and Bayern and Kane will feature in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Kane posted an image of himself in action against Celtic on Instagram, captioned: “Got the job done! Annoying having to come off last night but hopefully back out there asap!”

Grealish liked the post from his England teammate, as the two look to recover from their injury issues.

Grealish is well-liked by neutral football fans due to his carefree playstyle, reminiscent of watching that one kid on the playground who is miles better than everyone else and finding it far too easy.

However, that player looked to have been left behind at Villa, in favour of a new, refined, and kind of boring version, built to win titles.

Grealish has won titles as a part of City’s squad, but fans knew he could do that, now we want to see the England international do it whilst playing the way he once did.

Grealish has showed flashes of his old-self this season, but not consistently enough.

His recent games against Leyton Orient and Real Madrid gave us a brief glimpse of that, as Grealish dominated both games, until being forced off with injury.

If the England international can find a way to do what he did against those two opponents on a more consistent basis, the winger will absolutely be able to be a part of Thomas Tuchel’s England side.
