Malaysia Airlines and Firefly have been named official airline partners for the ASEAN Travel Exchange (TRAVEX), a central feature of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) 2025. TRAVEX, a premier business platform designed to connect ASEAN buyers and sellers, highlights an array of regional travel products and services. The event is set to unfold from January 15 to 18, 2025, at the Persada Johor International Convention Centre in Malaysia.

In their role as official airline partners, Malaysia Airlines and Firefly will facilitate seamless travel for ATF 2025 and TRAVEX delegates, including buyers, media representatives, and other participants. With extensive networks covering domestic and international routes, the airlines will ensure smooth and convenient access to Johor, the event’s host city. This partnership reflects a shared vision of promoting ASEAN as an integrated travel destination while showcasing Malaysia Airlines’ hallmark ‘Malaysian Hospitality’ and Firefly’s dedication to connecting domestic and regional destinations, enhancing accessibility for all attendees.

Under the theme “UNITY IN MOTION: SHAPING ASEAN’S TOURISM TOMORROW,” ATF 2025 aims to bring together leaders from across ASEAN to foster sustainable tourism development and embrace digital transformation. Organized by Malaysia’s Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture, the forum will feature the participation of tourism ministers, government officials, corporate leaders, and media representatives from the region. Malaysia Airlines and Firefly’s involvement as official airline partners underscores their commitment to supporting the forum’s mission of creating a prosperous and sustainable ASEAN tourism landscape.

Adding to their efforts to inspire global travel, Malaysia Airlines recently unveiled its “Time For” campaign, running until January 22, 2025.
