Kajol-led supernatural thriller, Maa, is releasing in theaters on 27th June. The film is about the protective instinct and inner strength of a mother when a threat looms over their children. 

In an exclusive interview ahead of the film, Kajol shared her experience of motherhood with the joys and challenges of the phase. Sharing her biggest challenge as a mother to teenagers, she said, “the mood swings of teenagers”. Offering advice on the challenge, she also posed a solution that is to listen to the kids to understand their perspective and share the parents’ perspective. 

Talking about the film, she revealed that her decision to be a part of this project was that she resonated with the story of Ma Kaali and Raktbeej. A modern reinterpretation of it on screen fascinated her.
