LV unveils world's first 'the Louis' landmark in Shanghai - Chinadaily.com.cn

Louis Vuitton unveiled the world's first "the Louis", a cultural landmark that combines exhibition, food and retail in Shanghai on Thursday, proof of the allure of Shanghai and China as attractions for international business.
Taking the shape of a magnificent boat, "the Louis" boasts a 1,600-square-meter three-story experience space, with a length of 114.5 meters and 30 meters in height, consisting of retail, Le Cafe Louis Vuitton and a Louis Vuitton Visionary Journeys exhibition.
The Louis is set to open to the public on Saturday, and visitors can register to visit via the My LV WeChat mini program.
"The new landmark is one of the latest proofs that international brands are optimistic about the future of the China market," said Yao Lei, director of Jing'an district's commission of commerce.
According to Yao, the decision to build the space involved huge investments, showcasing China's huge market potential and business opportunities for international brands.
