British TV legend Lorraine Kelly has updated her followers after undergoing a preventative surgery to remove her ovaries and fallopian tubes. The 65-year-old presenter shared on X, formerly Twitter, that she is "recovering well" after the procedure earlier this week.

Kelly, who hosts her morning TV show Lorraine, expressed pride in her TV team for maintaining the show's success during her absence. She noted that the show's ratings were up, achieving the highest March ratings in four years. She thanked her editor and team for their support.

Last weekend, Kelly shared a video from her hospital bed, explaining that she was undergoing the surgery as a preventative measure. She had scans and tests due to not feeling well and was advised to have her ovaries and tubes removed. She reassured fans that it was a keyhole surgery and that she expected to recover quickly.

In a subsequent Instagram post, Kelly shared a photo with her medical team at Heatherwood Hospital, expressing gratitude for their care. She thanked her surgeon, Mr. Ahmed Rafaat, and the entire team for their support and reassurance. She is now resting at home, following doctors' orders.

Kelly has received numerous well wishes from friends and fans. Kennedy, from her TV team, mentioned the overwhelming support for Kelly and looked forward to her return. Amy Dowden MBE and the host of Love Is Blind UK, who recently had a keyhole surgery, also sent their love and support.

The procedure Kelly underwent, a Laparoscopic bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, is often performed as a preventative measure for individuals at higher risk of breast and ovarian cancer.
