Kelly Ken Rodgers Odinga shared images of his vandalised home in a TikTok video, expressing his sadness over the huge loss.
“I was away and came back home only to find my padlock on the floor. They ransacked everything and messed up my house. They took my laptop, iPad, phone, TV, home theatre system, and iron box,” he said.
The distraught man said the thieves also stole his clothes leaving him with only one trouser, t-shirt and his innerwear.
"I sacrificed to buy all these things for myself and they came and carried them all," he lamented.
He noted that those who stole from him had no sympathy, as they had forced him to start from scratch.
“I will never pity a thief when he or she is caught, either by the police or a mob, because when they get to you, they take the most valuable things you own and leave you with a permanent scar,” he said.
Online users sympathised with Odinga, with some advising him to invest in a high-security padlock while others speculated that someone close to him might have been involved in the robbery.
Fastec:
“Invest in a Yale padlock. It’s expensive and costs around KSh 4,000, but you will be assured of its security.”
Bet International:
“Your neighbours didn’t see them, yet when you go home with a woman, they see you.”
Ngere Paul:
“Check with Safaricom for the location of all your friends' mobile signals or anyone who last visited your place. Also, check the locations of all the people they communicated with, in the past week.”
Gloer:
“I thought that was the most trusted padlock.”
Queen 254:
“This is why I do not like having visitors at my house. A thief cannot just come from nowhere and steal from you.”

Nyar Odera:
“Who was the last person you brought to your house?”
