Kairo, the proprietor of Kai and Karo, has been in and out of police stations for several months after running into cashflow challenges.

In a post on Facebook, Kairo shared that he was re-arrested on January 28 after attending a mention at the Milimani Law Courts.

He revealed that he was detained overnight at the Parklands Police Station in connection with a separate matter and is currently awaiting plea-taking at the Milimani Law Courts.

Speaking about his legal troubles, Kairo lamented the toll these issues have taken on his business operations.

"We have tried everything in our ability to resolve these issues amicably and ensure we do deliveries, but the negative media publicity and constant police involvement are putting us in deeper waters," he said. "All our offices are currently closed."

Kairo emphasised his track record, adding that he had built a reputation over 10 years in the car dealership industry with no prior criminal cases.

The businessman also disclosed that his crowdfunding campaign on WeFunder, which had surpassed the $100,000 milestone, was abruptly shut down due to the ongoing legal challenges.
