Kevin Feige Has Failed: The Same Problem That Doomed Infinity War Is Coming for 'The Fantastic Four:

Published 5 days ago3 minute read

Well… that is one tough nut to crack since Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige have had this problem before. The fun of Spider-Man: No Way Home was half-ruined by the countless leaks that had emerged before the release of the actual film.

People had known for a while that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield were going to show up sooner or later and it was confirmed by the plethora of leaks on the internet. It seems that Kevin Feige cannot get rid of this bug, as something similar happened yet again.

The world is ready and waiting for Pedro Pascal to take on the lead role of Mr. Fantastic in the upcoming MCU magnum opus, The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Promotion has been going on for quite a while now as the film gears up for a release soon.

Well, people are waiting to meet Galactus. The big, bad baddie who eats up galaxies for brunch. They cannot wait to see the gigantic entity who is known as the devourer of worlds.

Unfortunately for the people involved, the full look of Galactus has already been revealed (leaked would be the more appropriate word here) before even the movie could show it off! While merchandising, Snapple accidentally revealed the promo art featuring a complete Galactus.

Fans would be proud to know that this feat hurts more because the complete Galactus wasn’t even shown in the trailer for The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios, once again, couldn’t stop the leak.

He does look terrifying in the promo art, but fans are hoping that the movie will feature a Galactus who is more terrifying than this. Of course, the leak has somewhat ruined the mood of people who wanted to see the villain in all his glory on the theater screens. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time that a leak has ruined a movie for Marvel.

Merchandising is something that Marvel Studios has struggled with in the past. Key moments from a film have often been leaked through toys and action figures before the movie is even released.

Back in 2018, the world was delighted and shocked to see Avengers: Infinity War as the team-up was fantastic, but half the population (and heroes) vanished into thin air.

Well, before the film was released in theaters, fans were already aware that Thor was going to get a new hammer (due to toys depicting Stormbreaker). They were aware that Doctor Strange and Spider-Man would team up (because a LEGO set depicted the two together).

A Hulkbuster set was also released before the film with a Bruce Banner mini-figurine, so fans knew that Banner (and not Hulk) was going to steer this thing. All of it came true when Avengers: Infinity War was released, which ruined half the fun of the surprise element that was usually a big thing in Marvel movies.

Well, with history repeating itself with The Fantastic Four: First Steps, only time can tell how far Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios go with this merchandising plan and when it will be enough for Kevin Feige.

is slated to release theatrically on 25 July 2025 (USA).
