had fans buzzing over his chemistry with when the two flirted up a storm at a party some months ago, and sources reveal they’re now ready to give romance a crack.

“Kevin and January have made a connection, traded numbers and found a mutual attraction — but the burden is on Kevin to set aside the distractions of filmmaking and focus on getting into a serious relationship,” says an insider.

“The common ground between them is enormous. They’re both somewhat misunderstood in Hollywood and even among their fans, and they’ve both become household names on the strength of their work alone.”

“Plus, you can’t get around how January is Kevin’s type and is such a giant fan of the guy.”

But sources note the Yellowstone stud is gun-shy in the wake of his contentious divorce from , finalized in February 2024 after 18 years of marriage. The former couple, who share three kids, slogged through a lengthy court process, and Christine quickly moved on with Kev’s ex-pal , to whom she is now engaged.

“Kevin has met tons of beautiful women during this time but has trouble taking things to the next level,” says an insider. “But everybody in his life is rooting for him to take the next step with January.”

As for January, 47 — best known for her iconic blond bob and icy good looks as Betty Draper in the series Mad Men — sources say it’s well known in her inner circle that she thinks Kevin is hot at 70.

January raved about him after they met at an event for Brunello Cucinelli at West Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont last December. “Beautiful evening once again … And I finally got to meet @kevincostner,” the single mom of one gushed on her Instagram Stories.

Says a source, “Kevin made an impression and she’s letting him know through mutual friends that she’s interested. They have kept in touch and she would love it if he asked her out. Ultimately, though, the ball is in Kevin’s court to take the flirty friendship to the next level. She’s waiting for him to make the first move.”
