During the handover of sports equipment at Malakisi A.C.K Primary School in Lwandanyi ward, Lusaka expressed dismay over what he described as "petty and malicious politics" allegedly fueled by the MP.
The governor urged leaders to rise above personal interests and focus on delivering services to the electorate.
“We are all elected to serve our people. It is unfortunate that instead of championing development, some leaders have resorted to spreading misinformation and engaging in populist rhetoric that only divides communities," Lusaka said.
The governor’s remarks follow a string of public criticisms from MP Waluke, who has recently accused the county administration of corruption and inefficiency.
Lusaka dismissed the allegations as baseless and politically driven, maintaining that his government remains committed to transparency and development.
The Bungoma governor emphasised the importance of unity among elected officials, especially during a period of economic strain and growing public demands.
According to Lusaka, leaders should concentrate on serving Bungoma residents instead of engaging in endless blame games ahead of the 2027 General Election.
“We cannot afford to be distracted by political theatrics. The people of Bungoma deserve focused leadership and tangible results—not endless blame games," he stated.
Lusaka concluded by calling on all leaders to uphold their mandates and work collectively to uplift the lives of their constituents.

Recently, the Sirisia lawmaker claimed that Lusaka’s administration spends KSh 35 million every month on garbage collection.
At the burial service of Mzee Nathan Sirengo, Waluke criticised the county government for what he called a misuse of public funds on garbage collection.
He urged the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) to investigate all officers in Bungoma, alleging that many staff members are involved in the misappropriation of public resources.
Waluke affirmed that he will continue putting the Lusaka administration under checks, arguing that almost the whole County Assembly of Bungoma has failed terribly in their oversight mandate.
The lawmaker wondered why the MCAs have not been speaking against the rampant misuse of public resources under Lusaka's administration.
However, Lusaka strongly denied the corruption claims, describing them as baseless and irresponsible.
In a firm statement, he rejected Waluke’s accusations as misleading and a deliberate effort to damage his administration’s reputation.
Lusaka also addressed concerns about the county’s garbage collection tender, suggesting that Waluke’s remarks showed either ignorance or a misunderstanding of how civic services operate.
