As the local street style star of New York City, Katie Holmes's appearance at the 2025 Tony Awards shouldn't come as a surprise. In fact, on Sunday night, the actress proved why she's queen of NYC's fashion scene.
Forget strawberry summer because Holmes arrived on the Tony Awards red carpet in a watermelon-coded green-and-pink look. The look featured a taffeta green top with puffy sleeves and a bow detail along the back and a blush pink maxiskirt covered in beading. Perhaps also a subtle nod to the evening's host and Wicked star, Cynthia Erivo.

The star paired the fruit-inspired look with simple accessories, including several diamond stud earrings from Dana Rebecca Designs, and a couple of matching rings. For her glam, Holmes looked radiant with dewy skin and a loose, low bun.

Homes, who is presenting at this evening's show, starred in the revival of Thornton Wilder's Our Town on Broadway in the fall, alongside Jim Parsons, Zoey Deutch, Ephraim Sykes, Richard Thomas, Billy Eugene Jones, Michelle Wilson, Julie Halston and Donald Webber Jr. Before her turn in Our Town, Holmes starred in 2012's Dead Accounts and made her Broadway debut with All My Sons in 2008.

Her appearance at the 2025 Tony Awards marks her first time attending the awards in 15 years. Back in 2010, the star wore a slate gray strapless gown with criss-cross midsection detailing and a pleated skirt.

Last month, Holmes wore another strapless dress, proving that fashion is indeed cyclical. Holmes attended a cocktail party at Tod's Boutique in a brown drop-waist dress with a ribbed torso and a leather, ankle-length skirt, which she styled with a white handbag and brown pumps.
