Kate Moss's simple hair hack reminds us why she was the queen of fashion in the 90s
Yves Saint Laurent famously said 'Fashion fades, style is eternal' and if ever anyone mastered the art of personal style it's Kate Moss.
The 90s supermodel's every wardrobe choice from festival chic to skinny jeans and long scarves has dominated fashion for three decades and she still inspires fashion today.
Kate can switch between boho, grunge and rich Cotswold-style dressing depending on her mood and always looks good. But, she recently took it right back to the 90s with a head-to-toe minimalist look complete with a simple hair hack that anyone could try.

It's no secret that Kate Moss inspired some of the biggest fashion trends of the 90s. She put the slip dress on the map and its popularity has hardly waned in 30+ years, and `not even 10 years ago, Zara created a 90s collection that was pretty much Kate's wardrobe from back in the day.
To her credit, all the fashion trends that have swirled around in the last three decades have hardly made an impact on Kate's look, she still mixes designer clobber with vintage, but more from the latter and less from the former.
And now she has nailed the 90s again in a look from New York that will kick off a revival we see creeping into spring.
Kate Moss attended the Calvin Klein show at New York Fashion Week wearing a long black coat over an off-white silk slip dress, oversized pearl drop earrings, and a pair of strappy heels. With it, she had her hair slicked back in a slightly messy bun and she carried a bucket bag.

The look is all but identical to how she dressed when she was in her Johnny Depp days and it works because her tied-back hair keeps the overall look clean, sleek and timeless. The current trend for slicking-back hair without a single flyaway is a fad that will pass in 2025 as big hair is predicted for the year ahead.
We expect a revival in this style from Kate Moss because the luxury of a draped silk dress under a structured coat and heels is a winner, team it with a simple tied-back bun and some killer earrings for the ultimate 90s style. Fashion fades, but Kate's got style in spades.
