Stepping in temporarily for Abdu Rozik, Kundrra is set to infuse the already entertaining show with his signature charm and blend of fun, pranks and emotional moments with co-contestants. His presence is sure to keep viewers hooked to their television screens with his witty banter and competitive spirit. Having said that, the actor recently sat for an interview with Indian Express’s SCREEN, where he revealed the reason behind his initial decision to not join the show.

He also opened up about juggling multiple cooking reality shows with his partner, Tejasswi Prakash, who is also currently participating in the culinary competition Celebrity MasterChef.

Sharing why he didn’t join the new season of Laughter Chefs from the start, Karan said, “It doesn’t feel like there was a gap of 2-3 months. Dates were an issue. There was no planning for the first season either. We were just supposed to shoot for 8 days, then it became big and went on and on. So, it was never a question of yes or no, but of when. The second or third day that I came back from Iceland, we started shooting."

In the same conversation, Karan also spoke about the new cast and who he is missing the most from the old gang. The actor said, “I am missing everybody: Arjun, Aly, Nia, Reem, and Jannat. We spent so much time together and created such a legacy for ourselves. It was such a great time. The new people are also fantastic. They have cute chemistry. I did miss the show because going on Laughter Chefs is not like going on a set. We have fun. Even if we shoot for 14-15 hours, we don’t feel tired. When we pack up and sit in our cars at 12 or 1 am, we realise how tired we are. Before that, it’s all good. It’s such a fun show that it does not feel like work. As soon as my dates got cleared and I was back in India, I was glad to join them."

During the interaction, he also talked about his co-contestant Elvish Yadav. He stated, “Elvish is a great guy, very hard-working. We have great chemistry, and I wasn’t surprised to have so much fun. Earlier, Arjun used to do everything so I could relax. But now with Elvish, I’ll have to be the older brother. With the new people, I will have to create new relationships, but that is happening very smoothly. I’m very happy with the casting, but I want the older ones also to return."

Furthermore, Karan also shared that he is happiest about Tejasswi Prakash participating in Celebrity MasterChef. “Monday to Friday, Teja is managing the cooking front on television, and Saturday-Sunday I am doing so. Both of us are massive foodies. Right now she is sitting in front of me asking me what she should cook. I don’t cook much, and that is better. Everything she is doing after the show is great. I’m very happy," he expressed.
