Jonas Brothers Have Fans Freaking Out as They Surprise Them at "Camp Rock" Trivia Night in Toronto

Published 1 month ago4 minute read

Fans of Camp Rock were in for quite the surprise after some unexpected guests showed up at a trivia night about the musical movie.

On Tuesday, Feb. 4, videos showing Jonas Brothers Joe, 35, Nick, 32, and Kevin Jonas, 37, surprising fans as they arrived at a Camp Rock trivia night in Hemingway's Restaurant and Bar Toronto were shared on TikTok.

The brothers, who also played siblings in the 2008 TV film alongside Demi Lovato, were captured walking into the venue one by one as fans screamed and clapped.

Sporting a leather jacket and cream pants, Joe — who played the role of Shane Gray — walked inside first and pulled a confused expression. Nick, who played Nick Gray in the Disney Channel original movie, then walked in wearing a New York Knicks puffer jacket, while Kevin (Jason Gray) wore a black jacket as he walked in with his 11-year-old daughter Alena, whom he shares with his wife Danielle Jonas.

The caption across the screen read: "The Jonas Brothers showed up to Camp Rock Trivia. @hemmingways in Toronto." The video was shared by TikTok user @elly_lapp, who captioned the clip, "Nick I've loved you since I was 11 years old," and set it to "This Is Me" from Camp Rock.

Another video captured the trio greeting and waving to fans before Joe spoke to the audience with a microphone.

"POV: The Jonas Brothers show up to Camp Rock trivia," the caption read.

Hemingway's Restaurant and Bar Toronto also shared clips of the band on their Instagram Stories. "Casual Tuesday at Hemingway," they wrote. "Thank you @quizmasterjess."

In a video posted on the band's YouTube's channel, Joe explained that the trio had seen online that there was a trivia night happening for Camp Rock 1 and 2 at a bar five minutes from their hotel so they had decided to go along and surprise the attendees. The siblings then turned into quiz masters as they took to the mic and started asking questions.

The fun moment comes after the band, who also starred in Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam in 2010, performed Camp Rock's song "Play My Music" at Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest.

Singing in Times Square in New York City, fans were overwhelmed with nostalgia as the group sang the movie's second single.

The musicians, who recently collaborated with country group Rascal Flatts for the song  "I Dare You,"  also revealed last month that they would be returning to their Disney roots for a new festive movie later this year.

Announcing the news, the brothers appeared on Disney+'s Instagram, making a version of the famous Love Actually cue card scene.

As Joe told viewers, "Hi! We're the Jonas Br...," Nick interrupted his brother and said, "No, don't say it!"

"The whole point is you don't say it, you just let them read it," the "Jealous" artist added.

Holding up cards in front of a holiday-decorated door while it snowed in the background, the three introduced themselves with arrows on one card.

Another card's message then read, "Sorry to bother you ... but we're making a Christmas movie."

According to Good Morning America, the movie's working title is Jonas Brothers Christmas Movie and will follow them as they aim to get home from London to New York for the holidays, while "obstacles keep getting in the way."
