John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra, who have shared screen space in films like Karam and Dostana, may reunite onscreen and this time for an ambitious Pan-India project. It is a known fact that RRR filmmaker SS Rajamouli is on his way to create another magnum opus, marking his first collaboration with Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu. Now reports have it that the Dhoom actor may play a key role in the upcoming entertainer.

According to initial reports, SSMB29 was to feature popular actor-filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran in a key role in the film. However, recently, it was being said that the actor won’t be able to be a part of it and that John has come to the rescue. Sharing details, a source was quoted telling News24, “Earlier, Prithviraj Sukumaran was considered for the role, but things could not materialise. Now, John will be seen sharing the screen with Priyanka Chopra. He has quite a few scenes with her and the shoot will happen in Hyderabad itself”.

Starring Mahesh Babu as the leading man, the film is expected to be an action adventure that will also be shot extensively in international waters. From what we hear, the makers kicked off the schedule with a Mahurat pooja on January 3 and later, actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas flew down to Hyderabad sparking rumours of her association with the entertainer. Earlier this week, Rajamouli too shared an intriguing post about ‘capturing’ Mahesh Babu finally for the shoot of the movie. Speaking further about the film, written by Vijayendra Prasad, it is expected to be inspired by Indian mythology but set in the contemporary world and promises to feature a blend of Indian and international artists.
