Jimmy Butler Under Fire for Behavior After Warriors-Heat Game

Published 6 days ago2 minute read

Jimmy Butler's return to South Beach didn't exactly go as planned.

In what some have dubbed as Butler's revenge game, it was the Golden State Warriors who were utterly embarrassed at Kaseya Center after being completely dominated by the Miami Heat, 112-86.

Butler did far from enough for Golden State in this one, finishing with 11 points on 5-of-12 shooting, six rebounds, two assists and a steal in 29 minutes of action.

After the game, the six-time All-Star wasted no time heading back to the locker room. So much so, that Butler opted not to interact with any of his former teammates or coaches after the brutal loss.

Before the game, Butler said that he had nothing to say to Heat president Pat Riley and that the high-ranking executive better not have anything to say to him either. It seems that Butler wasn't joking around when he sent his warning to his former boss. So much so, that he didn't even bother greeting his former teammates after the game.

Butler's behavior in the loss did not sit too well with the folks on social media.

"this is just sad man, needs to be better," a comment on X read.

"Not gonna lie, that's lame," said another.

"The villain strikes again," wrote a user.

"I thought his beef wasn't with the team..." asked a basketball fan.

"He's a piece of crap!" declared another.

"POS. Yall still back this man," a reaction read.

Butler is now under fire for his actions after Tuesday's loss. However, knowing how this man operates, it would not be surprising if he does not let the negativity affect him at all.

Either way, that's now back-to-back losses for Butler and the Warriors, who have fallen to 41-31 on the season. As of writing, they remain sixth in the West, but are precariously holding on to the final guaranteed playoff spot in the conference.

The Los Angeles Clippers and the Minnesota Timberwolves are both just half a game behind the Warriors at this point.
