Jimmy Alapag remains in Kings' new coaching staff
JIMMY Alapag is staying put on the Sacramento bench - officially.
The Kings formally announced their coaching staff on Wednesday (Philippine time) and the Philippine's legendary guard was retained as player development coach.
Only this time, he will work under head coach Doug Christie, who took the reins from two-time Coach of the Year Mike Brown back in December. He will also continue to work alongside Bobby Jackson, his boss during his big break in the NBA as part of the G League's Stockton Kings' coaching staff.

Sacramento's press release said that this is Alapag's third year as a player development coach for the franchise, before mentioning his previous coaching stints as assistant in Gilas Pilipinas, Meralco, and San Miguel, as well as shot-caller for Alab Pilipinas in the Asean Basketball League.
The once-face of the franchise for TNT moved back to the U.S. during the pandemic following a legendary playing career that saw him win six championships and one MVP in the PBA. He also served as longtime captain for the Philippine national team.
