Jennifer Lopez Jumps Into DJ Booth for Surprise Performance at TAO Park City During Sundance

Published 1 month ago3 minute read

Jennifer Lopez is already maximizing her time at the Sundance Film Festival.

The multi-hyphenate touched down in Park City, Utah this weekend ahead of the world premiere of her festival selection Kiss of the Spider Woman from filmmaker Bill Condon. But before Sunday night’s showing at the Eccles, Lopez reminded fest-goers and revelers of her other talents by jumping into the DJ booth at TAO Park City.

Lopez joined DJ Chase B for a surprise performance at the Casamigos-fueled pop-up, which again proved to be the late-night hot spot. Said to be “in good spirits” upon arriving to TAO according to an insider, Lopez mingled with friends (including Unstoppable co-star Jharrel Jerome and Kiss of the Spider Woman co-star Tonatiuh) and danced it up as Chase B played her hits like “Jenny from the Block” and “Get Right.”

Then came the surprise performance. Lopez jumped into the booth for a 10-minute “epic” performance that “stunned” the nightclub set and included her hit song “All I Have,” per an insider.

Lopez’s outing at TAO capped off a two-night celebrity packed pop-up that also hosted a DJ set from Lil Jon on Friday night along with appearances by such notables as Post Malone, Niecy Nash-Betts, Jon Hamm, Zach Braff, Real Housewives of Salt Lake City‘s Heather Gay and Whitney Rose, Steven Yeun, Harry Jowsey, Himesh Patel, Scooter Braun, Stephan James, Hot Ones star Sean Evans and more. As for Lopez’s other business in Park City, Kiss of the Spider Woman has its world premiere on Sunday night. The film is a “reimagined interpretation” of the 1985 film and a 1993 Chita Rivera-starring Broadway musical. Set amid Argentina’s Dirty War of the 1980s, the film follows Valentín, a political prisoner played by Diego Luna, who shares a cell with Molina, played by Tonatiuh, a window dresser convicted of public indecency. The two form an unlikely bond as Molina recounts the plot of a Hollywood musical starring his favorite silver screen diva, Lopez.
