Japan - Didi-Louzada-ex-SesiFranca-joins-SunRockers
Sunrockers Shibuya (B1 League) agreed terms with 26-year old Brazilian international guard Didi Louzada (195cm-94kg-1999) for the new 2025-26 season. He played last season at Sesi/Franca in the Brazilian NBB league. In 41 games, he had very impressive stats: 15.6ppg, 4.3rpg, 2.4apg, and 1.3spg. He helped them win the league title. Louzada was voted Latinbasket.com All-Brazilian League Finals MVP, named to the All-Domestic Players Team, and named to the Latinbasket.com All-Brazilian League First Team. Louzada also played 11 games in BCL Americas, where he recorded 11.6ppg, 4.2rpg, 1.6apg, and 1.2spg, contributing to his team making it to the semifinals. The previous (2023-24) season, he played at another Brazilian team, Flamengo (NBB).
In 2019, he was selected by the Atlanta Hawks (NBA) in the second round (35th overall) of the draft.
Louzada has been a member of the Brazilian international program for some years. He has regularly played for the Brazilian senior team since 2018 and previously for the Under 21 National Team in 2018.
Louzada also represented Brazil at the FIBA Olympic Games in Paris (France) last year. During this event, he scored an average of 0.7 ppg and had 1.3 rpg.
He is a very experienced player. His career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in five different countries. Louzada tasted the life as a pro basketball player in Latin America, Australia and of course North America. He has played previously in Australia (Kings), NBA (New Orleans Pelicans and Portland Trail Blazers), Australia, NBA G League (Cleveland Charge and Birmingham Squadron) and NBA Summer League (New Orleans Pelicans and Portland Trail Blazers).
Among many awards, he was also selected as the Latinbasket.com All-Brazilian League Most Improved Player of the Year in 2019.
