, was deeply moved after watching an early cut of
Avatar: Fire and Ash
, the highly anticipated third installment in the
Avatar franchise
.
In a conversation with Empire, James Cameron shared that his wife was so overwhelmed with emotion that she “bawled for four hours” after watching the film.
James Cameron explained that Suzy had deliberately stayed away from the project during production and saw the film in its entirety for the first time on December 22. "She kept trying to get herself back together so she could tell me specific reactions, and then she'd just tear up and start crying again," James Cameron recalled. Eventually, he had to call it a night, telling her, "Honey, I've got to go to bed. Sorry, we'll talk about it some other time," as reported by Variety.

While specific plot details remain under wraps, James Cameron has hinted that Fire and Ash will be even more emotionally charged than its predecessors. He described the film as "an insane adventure and a feast for the eyes," while emphasizing that it would take the characters into "really challenging territory."
Additionally, James Cameron confirmed that Fire and Ash will have a longer runtime than
Avatar: The Way of Water
, which was three hours and 12 minutes long. He also teased that the film will showcase "a lot more of Pandora" than audiences have seen before.
Meanwhile, recently in another interview, James Cameron revealed that while creating the second part of ‘Avatar’, the room was filled with ideas, and they decided to split it. He also revealed that the third part will be a little bit longer than the second one.
