Exciting news is in store for Border 2 producer Nidhi Dutta and her husband, filmmaker Binoy Gandhi, as the couple is expecting their first child! The joyous announcement was made through a series of heartfelt pictures shared by Nidhi on social media, taken straight from the sets of Border 2. The producer revealed that their ‘greatest blessing’ is on the way, with the baby expected to arrive in July 2025.

The announcement instantly garnered love from Bollywood celebrities, with Border 2 actor Ahan Shetty expressing his excitement over becoming a ‘mamu’ again. Joining in the celebrations, Athiya Shetty, Suniel Shetty, Varun Dhawan, Ayushmann Khurrana, and many others showered the soon-to-be parents with love and blessings.
The pictures shared by Nidhi capture her radiant pregnancy glow. In the first image, she proudly flaunts her baby bump while Binoy lovingly kisses her belly. The second picture captures an intimate moment of the couple cradling the baby bump, symbolizing their excitement and anticipation. Nidhi looked effortlessly chic in a beige body-hugging sweater paired with jeans and brown shoes.

Her caption read, "Our Greatest Blessing is on the way… July 2025." Soon after, Bollywood stars joined in to celebrate. Suniel Shetty dropped protective evil-eye emojis, while Ayushmann Khurrana simply commented, “Wow!” Varun Dhawan extended his congratulations, and Ahan Shetty expressed his excitement by writing, “Mamu again” alongside a red heart and evil-eye emoji. According to a report by Mid-Day, Nidhi chose a special moment to share her pregnancy news with the Border 2 team. She made the announcement on set when director Anurag Singh began filming in January. A source revealed, “She announced her pregnancy on the set, and the entire crew was overjoyed. Her parents, veteran filmmaker JP Dutta and actress Bindiya Goswami, were on cloud nine! Interestingly, Bindiya was expecting Nidhi’s younger sister, Siddhi, during the making of Border (1997).”
Despite the challenges of producing a war film while expecting, Nidhi remains dedicated to her work. The source added, “She is balancing her pregnancy and the production beautifully. By the time the baby arrives in July, the film will enter post-production.”
JP Dutta, the legendary filmmaker behind Border, couldn’t be prouder. Expressing his joy, he said, “We seek everyone’s blessings as Nidhi and Binoy embark on this beautiful journey of parenthood. Seeing my daughter working tirelessly on Border 2 while expecting her little one fills me with immense pride.”
Border 2, the much-anticipated sequel to the 1997 blockbuster Border, boasts an ensemble cast featuring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty. The film, which promises intense action, deep emotions, and patriotic fervor, began its first schedule in Jhansi on January 16.
With an aim to capture the raw emotions of war and heroism, Border 2 is set for a grand release, hitting theatres on Republic Day 2026.
