state media confirmed that Lotfi, who served as Deputy Head of Intelligence in Iran’s Law Enforcement Command, was killed during Monday’s targeted Israeli strike on the Iranian capital.

Also killed in the strikes was General Mohammad Taqi Yousefvand, head of the intelligence protection department for the Basij paramilitary force under the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Yousefvand was reportedly eliminated during an IDF airstrike on a Basij headquarters in Tehran.
“In light of Iran’s blatant violation of the ceasefire declared by the President of the United States, I have directed the IDF to continue high-intensity operations targeting regime assets and terror infrastructure in Tehran,” Katz said in a statement.
Tehran, however, strongly denied the allegations. Iran’s military and foreign ministry insisted that no missiles were launched toward Israel after the ceasefire was announced.
State-affiliated media outlet Nour News quoted military officials as saying Iran was fully observing the truce.
The ceasefire, announced by President Donald Trump, was supposed to mark the end of 12 days of fighting sparked by Israel’s initial strike on June 13 targeting Iran’s nuclear and missile facilities.
