Is BTS coming to India for their world tour? J-Hope reveals album update ahead of full group comeback

Published 18 hours ago4 minute read

BTS has always found ways to surprise and connect with their loyal fans, ARMY. The seven members — Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook — have consistently shown their gratitude by giving back through heartfelt music and unforgettable performances. Even during their break for mandatory military service, ARMY stood strong, supporting each member's solo endeavors and helping their individual projects reach remarkable success.

Now, with six of the seven members discharged and the group on the verge of reuniting as OT7 by June 21, excitement is building rapidly. Fans are hoping for announcements about a new album or an upcoming world tour. Feeding into that hope was J-Hope, who concluded his HOPE ON THE STAGE world tour on June 14 — and in doing so, reignited the buzz around BTS' long-awaited full-group comeback.

Amid his packed schedule of releasing new music and wrapping up his world tour, J-Hope made a special appearance on the popular variety show Omniscient Interfering View. He revealed that he had watched the show frequently during his military service and was excited to now be a guest himself.

The episode, which aired on June 14 via MBC, featured exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from his HOPE ON THE STAGE concert in Bangkok, along with backstage moments. Having recently returned to Korea after his overseas tour, the ace dancer talked about the countries he visited, sharing, "North America, Mexico, South America, then Asia and Japan." Reflecting on the experience, he said, "Just doing a tour is an honor."

During the show, J-Hope also touched on BTS' long-awaited reunion. He noted that all members except Suga have now been discharged from the military, and expressed both excitement and curiosity. "I wonder if the synergy will work well. I also think we'll gather and talk about albums. Since BTS will be performing again, I think we'll start preparing for a world tour."

Although nothing has been officially confirmed, India could potentially be included in BTS' upcoming world tour. Speculation is further fueled by reports that HYBE is planning to open an office in Mumbai.

In fact, BTS had initially planned a concert in Mumbai as part of their Map of the Soul tour in 2020, but it was ultimately canceled due to the global health crisis.

Desi fans are hopeful that BTS will include India in their upcoming world tour. The Indian subcontinent has a massive K-pop fanbase, with a large portion dedicated to BTS.

On June 13, thousands of international fans gathered in the suburbs of Seoul to celebrate BTS' debut anniversary—marking the day with heightened excitement as all seven members near the end of their military service.

The final concert of J-Hope's HOPE ON THE STAGE world tour encore took place at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium in Gyeonggi Province. To fans' delight, all six remaining BTS members made an appearance at the event, sending ARMY into a frenzy and further fueling anticipation for an official OT7 reunion.
