Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India - January 01, 1970 [Note: no sound] A speeding car crashed into a bus at a stand when it tried to overtake, leaving one dead and two injured. The incident occurred at a bus stand in Ahmedabad, in Ahmedabad district, in western India’s Gujarat, on March 28. Visuals show a bus halting at a stand to pick up passengers when a speeding car tries to overtake it through a narrow gap between two buses. Losing control, it crashes into the rear of the stationary bus. According to reports, ten to twelve passengers who were boarding from the opposite side of the bus were spared when the car struck the right side of the bus, leaving one dead and two injured. The bus was pushed almost eight to ten feet as a result of the forceful impact. Tragically, the XUV 700, which was carrying two people, crashed. While the seriously injured driver was taken to a nearby hospital for immediate medical attention, the passenger passed away from their wounds. When locals saw the accident, they quickly alerted the police, the fire department, and the city authorities, which led to their prompt arrival. Witnesses reported seeing a bottle of liquor inside the damaged vehicle. Police found a broken bottle during their investigation, and they took blood samples from both people to rule out intoxication. If alcohol consumption is proven, legal action will be taken. The investigation into this tragic crash has advanced with the formal complaint that bus driver Pranavsingh Chavda filed about the incident.
