Infosys and MHFA Launch 'Supportive Mind' Mental Health App

Infosys, a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting, has announced a significant strategic collaboration with Mental Health Foundation Australia (MHFA) to enhance mental health awareness across Australia and New Zealand. This partnership has led to the creation of a mobile application named 'Supportive Mind'. Designed by Infosys for MHFA, the app aims to provide first aiders and various communities with accessible, real-time mental health resources.
This initiative aligns with Infosys' Corporate Social Responsibility commitment, leveraging technology to foster community well-being. The 'Supportive Mind' app seeks to bridge existing gaps in mental health awareness by offering actionable solutions for proactive self-care and support. It specifically addresses the increasing demand for accessible mental health support, particularly for individuals navigating busy lifestyles due to work, education, or personal and family commitments.
The app offers a comprehensive suite of features designed to help users prioritize their well-being and seamlessly integrate beneficial habits into their daily routines. Key functionalities include mood tracking and insights, personalized activity recommendations, walking challenges, and fundraising campaigns. Additionally, it provides self-care tools and wellness tips delivered conveniently via push notifications. The 'Supportive Mind' app will initially be launched through pilot programs in the education, corporate, and community sectors.
Leveraging Infosys' advanced AI stack, specifically Infosys Topaz—an AI-first set of services, solutions, and platforms built on generative AI technologies—the app is engineered to analyze performance metrics to effectively measure its social impact. Professor Melissa Green, Chairperson of Mental Health Foundation Australia, expressed enthusiasm for the app, stating, "We are thrilled to introduce Supportive Mind to the public in collaboration with Infosys. This app showcases our commitment to improving physical and mental health through innovative solutions." Andrew Groth, Executive Vice President, Asia Pacific, Infosys, highlighted the company's purpose: "Our collaboration with MHFA to develop a scalable digital solution underscores our commitment to leveraging innovation to make mental health support accessible to everyone, wherever they live or work."
The Mental Health Foundation Australia, established in 1930, is the oldest community-based non-government mental health organization in the country. Comprised of professionals, individuals with lived experiences of mental health challenges, community organizations, and public members, MHFA's vision is to achieve better mental health for all. They strive to create a society where mental health is valued, supported, and understood, ensuring access to necessary resources and support. MHFA offers various services, including low-cost counseling sessions at their Wellness Hub, peer support groups, and the new 'Supportive Mind' app. They also actively raise awareness and educate on mental health topics through webinars and workplace training.
