The FIBA Women’s Asia Cup 2025 Division B will be held from July 13 to 20.

The Indian women’s basketball team will compete in the upcoming FIBA Women’s Asia Cup 2025 Division B, scheduled to take place in Shenzhen, China, from July 13 to 20. They will begin their campaign against Kazakhstan on the opening day. The Shenzhen Bay Sports Center has been chosen as the venue to host the prestigious event.

Top eight nations from Asia will compete in FIBA Women’s Asia Cup 2025 Division A, which will be held simultaneously at the same venue. China, New Zealand, South Korea, Indonesia, Japan, Australia, Philippines, and Lebanon are the nations competing in Division A.

India secured a spot in the FIBA Women’s Asia Cup 2025 Division B after winning the SABA Qualifiers, which took place in New Delhi from February 23 to 26 this year. They will look to win Division B and get promoted to Division A for the 2026 edition of the FIBA Women’s Asia Cup.

FIBA Women’s Asia Cup 2025 Division B Groups and format

Eight teams have been drawn across two groups of four teams each. The Indian women’s basketball team are placed in Group A alongside Chinese Taipei, Kazakhstan, and Tahiti. Meanwhile, Group B consist of Iran, Thailand, Mongolia, and the Cook Islands.

Matches will be played in a round-robin format in the group stage, with each team facing the other teams in their respective groups one time. The table-toppers of both groups will advance to the semi-finals, while the second and third placed teams in Group A will face the next best teams from Group B in the quarter-finals.

The winner of the quarter-finals will face the table toppers from the respective groups in the semis, followed by the summit clash of the FIBA Women’s Asia Cup 2025 Division B
