In Pictures: END. and Adidas 'Tie the Knot' in latest campaign and collection
As "an ode to the essence of love and partnership", both END. and Adidas ’tie the knot’ as they merge classic Adidas silhouettes with refined co-branded details in their latest execution of the ‘Superstar Vintage’ and ‘Japan OG’.
For the campaign, END., which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, Adidas went to Berlin to document five couples from diverse backgrounds, "framing the collaboration in a modern context of love and understanding of beauty within each relationship".
The ‘Japan OG W’ is a tribute to bridal elegance, featuring all white lace uppers reminiscent of a wedding dress, with END. branding in a lustrous silver at the heel. The delicate yet durable construction showcases intricate detailing reflecting tradition and modernity, “creating a timeless aesthetic that speaks to sneaker enthusiasts and romantics alike”.
Meanwhile, the ‘Superstar Vintage’ channels the groom’s refined suiting with a black and white palette, a removable kiltie across the lace closure, contrast stitching, and a leather toe cap.
Embossed on the underside of the tongue of the sneakers is the classic wedding phrase ’something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue’.
Additionally, a co-branded vibrant blue insole ensures the wearer is never without their ‘something blue’ in another nod to the wedding custom.
The END. x Adidas Originals ‘Tying the Knot’ collection will launch in all END. stores and online this Friday, 7 March, retailing at £120 - £150.
In October 2024, ahead of its 20th anniversary year, END. was acquired from The Carlyle Group by private equity firm Apollo Global Management.
