HYDERABAD: Seven residents, including a one-month-old infant and an elderly person, were rescued by firefighters when a massive blaze erupted in a residential complex in Maharajgunj, Begumpet Bazar on Thursday morning.

The fire department deployed a bronto skylift and a ladder for the rescue operation of people trapped inside the G+3 residential structure after flames engulfed one of the three floors.

Officials said that the fire's severity prompted the deployment of five fire tenders from Gowliguda, Moghalpura, High Court, Secretariat, and Salarjung Museum stations to conduct rescue operations at the site.

Poll

Would you feel safe living in a building with a plastic warehouse nearby?

The presence of a plastic warehouse in the building contributed to the rapid spread of the fire. Initial reports suggest that an electrical short circuit could trigger the incident.
