A Mexican Navy training ship, Cuauhtémoc, collided with the Brooklyn Bridge while sailing up New York City’s East River, causing panic among onlookers and tourists. The vessel’s tall mast scraped the bridge, prompting emergency response from fire and rescue teams. Over 270 people were on board, and officials are currently assessing injuries and damage. The Cuauhtémoc was on a global goodwill tour across 15 countries and has temporarily suspended its journey following the crash.
