Haryana To Establish 11 MSME Clusters With Rs 169 Cr Investment
(MENAFN- KNN India) The Haryana government has announced plans to develop eleven Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) clusters across the state with an investment of Rs 169.6 crore, supplemented by additional state subsidies of Rs 20 crore.
The Haryana Cluster Development Scheme for MSMEs encompasses the establishment of shared facilities including testing centers, training centers, and research centers.
These common facilities are designed to provide smaller enterprises with access to resources typically available only to larger organisations, thereby enhancing their competitive capabilities.
The scheme operates under the framework of the central government's startup program, providing 90 percent grant assistance for mini-cluster development projects.
Under the current phase of implementation, 46 projects valued at Rs 158 crore have received approval.
The state government has established a dedicated MSME directorate to oversee these developments and ensure alignment with broader entrepreneurial objectives.
The government has also implemented a parallel cluster plug and play scheme, which has demonstrated significant traction with 33 approved projects representing approximately Rs 359 crore in total value.
Grant support of Rs 75.98 crore has been allocated to support these complementary initiatives.
A critical component of the development strategy involves ensuring uninterrupted power supply to participating industries.
The MSME directorate has established a framework to provide immediate assistance during power disruptions, minimising production losses and quality degradation.
This support system includes financial assistance based on capital expenditure requirements.
